Pure, crystalline lactic acid has an estimated vapour pressure of 0.0286 mm Hg (corresponding to 0.038 hPa.) (worst-case from two QSAR calculations). The vapour pressure of a 93% aqueous solution of lactic acid will be dominated by the vapour pressure of the water present in the solution, up to the boiling point of the solution.
