Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

There has been done no testing of beta-Cyclodextrin, acetate in a study according to OECD 201.

Therefore two read-across substances have been evaluated instead:

beta-Cyclodextrin (CAS RN 7585 -39 -9) and hydroxypropyl-beta-Cyclodextrin (CAS RN 128446 -35 -5).

beta-Cyclodextrin is the primary degradation product of beta-Cyclodextrin, acetate (readily biodegradeable, OECD 301D).

Hydroxypropyl-beta-Cyclodextrin has a similar structure but is not readily biodegradeable and is therefore considered as

a worst-case read-across approach for acute toxicity to aquatic algae.
