Description of key information

The Henry's law constant K values calculated at 20 °C:

at pH 4: K = 2.33E-8 Pa·m3·mol-1

at pH 7: K = 1.42E-9 Pa·m3·mol-1

at pH 9: K = 2.00 E-9 Pa·m3·mol-1

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Henry's law constant (H) (in Pa m³/mol):
0
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The Henry's law constant K (as Pa·m³·mol-1) was calculated using the water solubility, vapour pressure and molecular weight at three different pH values (M-256442-01-1) using the following formula:

HLC = (vapour pressure*molecular weight)/water solubility. The vapour pressure of 2.7 E-7 Pa (20 °C), molecular weight of 362.33 g/mol and the water solubility of 4200 g/m³ (buffer pH 4), 69100 g/m³ (buffer pH 7) and 49000 g/m³ (buffer pH 9) were used as input parameters for the calculation. Henry's Law constant of 1.42 E-9 Pa*m³/mole (pH 7) to 2.33 E-8 Pa*m³/mole (pH 4) resulted indicating a low volatility of the test item.
