Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention if
irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Contamination of the eyes must be treated by thorough
irrigation with water, with the eyelids held open. Seek
medical attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Skin: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of
water and soap. Seek medical attention if irritation
develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water mist, foam, dry powder, Kohlendioxid
Product arising from burning: Thermal decomposition:
No exothermal reaction up to 450 degree C.
In the event of fire, the formation of sulfur dioxide,
fluorocarbons, carbonic difluoride, ammonia, amines
and hydrocarbons must be anticipated.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: In case of fire-fighting, respirators are necessary. Firemen
have to wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take up avoiding formation of dust.
Fill into labelled, sealable containers.
Sweep up solid material, avoiding the generation of dust and
transfer to suitably labelled containers. Dispose of as
hazardous waste in accordance with local regulations.
Residues and minor spills may be washed with water, avoiding
run-off into water courses.
Protective clothing including suitable gloves, dust mask,
eye protection and coveralls should be worn as appropriate.
Handling and storage
Handling: Personal protective equipment such as gloves of leather,
goggles with side shield or tightly fitting protective
goggles, dust mask and skin covering working clothes are
recommended when handling the substance.
As the substance exists in a dry form, precautions should be
taken to reduce the possibility of dust formation.
Storage: Keep container dry.
Protection against fire and explosion:
In case of fire-fighting, respirators are necessary.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Plastic containers or barrels with an inlay of polyethylene.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None
Chemical reaction with water: None
Dust explosion: The substance is a powder which may have a certain dust
content but the chemical nature would suggest that a dust
explosion is improbable.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The Additiv VP.KU1-1926 is used as antistatic additive in
plastics materials. A recovery and reuse is not possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not possible
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: This is the recommended method of destruction.
Incinerate at a facility with flue gas scrubbing.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: The substance may be disposed by landfill in accordance with
the appropriate regulations.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable for the general public.
