Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
From August 16th, 2021 to August 18th, 2021
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range)
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
ca. 89.28 - ca. 116.53 °C
Conclusions:
The melting point is in the range of 89.28 °C to 116.53 °C.
Executive summary:

The determination of the melting point of Heavy wax residue fraction, waste plastic derived, hydrothermal conversion was performed via DSC (differential scanning calorimetry). In all runs one event was detected. The event is endothermic and is stated as the melting point.
Based on results obtained in the pre-test the melting point under these circumstances should be stated in the range from 89.28 °C to 116.53 °C (362.43 K to 389.68 K) with a peak maximum of 110.99 °C (384.14 K)

Description of key information

The melting point is in the range of 89.28 °C to 116.53 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
89.28 °C
