Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

- Appearance / physical state / colour:

Greenish-brown, reddish-brown, or brown amorph solid or powder with glistening surface upon fracture.

- Melting point:

Study technically not feasible as the test item decomposed at 204.97ºC (478.12 K).

- Boiling point:

Study technically not feasible as the test item decomposed at 204.97ºC (478.12 K).

- Density:

1.5743 ± 0.0011 g/cm3 at 20ºC ± 0.2°C

- Particle size distribution (Granulometry):

The statistic average (d50) of the three analysed batches is at 18.0, 21.4, and 14.6 μm, respectively. The largest particles were found to be in the range between 90 and 125 μm.

- Vapour pressure:

8.06 * 10-06Pa at 20°C

1.29 * 10-05Pa at 25°C

- Partition coefficient:

LogPow: < 0.3 at 25.0±0.5ºC

- Water solubility:

≥ 1084.3 g/L at 20.0ºC ± 0.5ºC.

- Surface tension:

72.31± 0.08 mN/m at 20.0 ºC (aqueous solution of the substance: 1 g/L).

- Flash point:

Study technically not feasible because decomposition ocurred during the melting point study.

- Auto flammability:

Relative Self Ignition Temperature: 225.7 °C (auto-flammable).

- Flammability:

Ignition did not occur within two minutes of heating the test item with the flame of a gas burner (not classified).

- Explosiveness:

Study scientifically not necessary because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties (non explosive).

- Oxidising properties:

Maximum burning rate: 3.26 mm/s (non oxidising properties).
