Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation:
Fresh air; if person feels unwell seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes:
Rinse carefully at least for 15 min with plenty of water;
seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin:
Wash immediately with plenty of water. Remove spoiled
clothing. In the case of skin irritations or allergic
reactions seek medical.
Emergency measure - Ingestion:
If the person is conscious offer plenty of water. Do not
induce vomitting without medical instructions.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent:
Spraying water, dry extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide.
Product arising from burning:
Carbon oxides, chlorine hydrogene
Protective equipment:
In the case of fire wear self-contained respirator and
protetive suit.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage:
Personal measures:
Use personal protective equipment (see "handling"). Ensure
sufficient ventilation.
Environmental measures:
Dam up substance and avoid a contamination of the soil,
sewage system and aquatic environment.
Cleaning measures:
Take up with liquid binding material (e.g. sand, silica gel,
acid binding agents, universal binding agent, sawdust).
Sweep up and fill in suitable, well labelled waste
containers.
Handling and storage
Handling:
Design all working processes basically in that way that way
the the skin contact is as low as possible. Avoid inhalation
and eye contact.
During filling, pouring and dosing work and sample taking
use closed or at least splash proofed equipment.
During handling in open systems exhaust vapours or aerosols
directly at origin point.
If technical ventilation or exhaustion measures are not
possible or not sufficient enough, the wearing of
respiration protection is recommended.
In order to avoid skin contact wear approved protective
gloves and if necessary suitable protective clothing.
Butylkautschuk, recommendation:
Butojet 898, break through: > 480 min,
Provide a suffiecient number of washing facilities in the
near surroundings of the working area. After skin contact
clean the affected body areas immediately. Special skin
protection and skin care measures are recommended. Provide a
skin care plan.
Storage:
Store containers tightly closed at a cool, well ventilated
room. Store in original container. Safeguard containers
against falling. Avoid residues on/at the containers.
Storing cat.: 12 - not flammable liquids

Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
Product:
Must be brought to an adequate waste treatment facility, in conformity with applicable waste disposal regulations.
Contaminated packaging:
Packaging, that can not be reused after cleaning must be disposed or recycled in accordance with all federal, national and local regulations.
Avoid residues of the product on the containers.
