Description of key information
C4 F-isonitrile does not freeze at temperatures above -20 °C.

We propose waiving of melting point testing on the gas C4 F-isonitrile, based on column 2 of Annex VII of REACH. A melting point study need not be conducted below a lower limit of -20 °C. Handling experience has shown that C4 F-isonitrile does not freeze at temperatures above -20 °C. For example, in the vapor pressure study, boiling equilibria were measured down to -39 °C.
