Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure and keep patient at rest. Seek medical

attention immediately.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate for at least 15 minutes with water and seek medical

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with copious quantities of water. If

irritation develops seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,

nitrogen and phosphorous together with hydrogen fluoride and

some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full breathing apparatus should be worn by fire fighters

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Isolate spillage. Avoid dust formation. Gloves, goggles,

dust mask and full personal protective equipment should be

worn. Sweep up spill or use industrial vacuum fitted with

suitable dust filtration system. Transfer to suitably

labelled containers and dispose of in accordance with local

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Protective

rubber gloves (14"PVC Gauntlet), paper suits, safety glasses

(BS2092) and dust masks should be worn. Where dust

generation cannot be avoided, provide local exhaust

ventilation. Where local exhaust ventilation is not

possible, wear an approved face mask.

Storage: The substance should be stored in the original container,

kept tightly closed. The container should be stored at room

temperature in a dry well ventilated room. The containers

are fibre board drums which are double lined with

anti-static polyethylene liners, closed with a lever closing

ring. Each drum contains 25kg of the substance.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Containers are fibre board drums, double lined with

anti-static polyethylene liners and closed with a lever

closing ring, 25kg per drum.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not possible

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is the preferred method of destruction.

Suitable abatement measures for oxides of carbon and

nitrogen should be in place for incineration of gases.

Exhaust gas scrubbing at a suitable facility.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable. The test substance will not enter the public
