First-aid measures
Consult a physician. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
If swallowed:
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician.
If inhaled:
If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Consult a physician.
In case of skin contact:
Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Consult a physician.
In case of eye contact:
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician.

Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

During fire, irritating and highly toxic gases (CO, CO2, NOx, SOx) may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.

Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Keep unprotected people away, allow only well trained experts wearing suitable protective clothing to abide in the field of accident. Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Environmental precautions
Dispose of spillage and waste (product/packaging) in accordance with all applicable environmental laws. Do not allow to enter sewers/soil/surface or ground water. Notify the respective authorities in accordance with local law in the case of environmental pollution immediately.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Collect the spilled material with non-combustible absorbent (sand, earth etc.), then place into a suitable, closed, properly labelled chemical waste container for disposal. During disposal wear suitable personal protective equipment.
Handling and storage

Observe conventional hygiene precautions. Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.
Technical measures: ensure adequate ventilation.
Precautions against fire and explosion: avoid static discharge (grounding).

Keep in original, closed and labelled container. The place of storage has to be properly ventilated and clean. Store in cool and dry place. Keep packaging closed when not in use. Store in dark room, light sensitive. Follow all instructions on the label.

Exposure controls / personal protection
- Exposure controls
In case of a hazardous material with no controlled concentration limit it is the employer’s duty to keep concentration levels down to a minimum achievable by existing scientific and technological means, where the hazardous substance poses no harm to workers.
- Appropriate engineering controls
In pursuance of work is proper foresight needed to avoid spilling onto clothes and floors and to avoid contact with eyes and skin. Mechanical exhaust required. Safety shower and eye bath should be available. Avoid breathing vapour. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep containers closed.
- Personal protective equipment
Eye/face protection. Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN166. Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166(EU).
Skin protection: Full contact/ Splash contact, Material: Nitrile-rubber, Minimum layer thickness: 1.5 mm, Break through time: 10 min, Material tested: Tricotril (KCL 737), test method: EN374
If used in solution, or mixed with other substances, and under conditions which differ from EN 374 contact the supplier of the CE approved gloves. This recommendation is advisory only and must be evaluated by an industrial hygienist and safety officer familiar with the specific situation of anticipated use by our customers. It should not be construed as offering an approval for any specific use scenario.
Body Protection: The type of protective equipment must be selected according to the concentration and amount of the dangerous substance at the specific workplace.
Respiratory protection; Where risk assessment shows air-purifying respirators are appropriate use a full-face respirator with multi-purpose combination (US) or type ABEK (EN 14387) respirator cartridges as a backup to engineering controls. If the respirator is the sole means of protection, use a full-face supplied air respirator. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).

Offer surplus and non-recyclable solutions to a licensed disposal company. Dissolve or mix the material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber.
