First-aid measures

General advice: Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing, do not breathe vapor or mist, keep away from heat, flames and sparks.

Eye contact: Do not delay. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least15 minutes and consult a physician.

Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Ingestion: Drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If symptoms persist, call a physician. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Self-protection of the first aider: Remove all sources of ignition. Take appropriate steps to avoid fire, explosion and inhalation hazards. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.

Most important symptoms and effects: Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, ingestion may cause irritation to mucous membranes/

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Alcohol resistant foam.  Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry powder. Water spray.

- Unsuitable extinguishing media:

Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating and toxic gases and vapors.

- Advice for fire fighter: Evacuate area and fight fire from a safe distance. Standard procedure for chemical fires. Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary. Wear fire/flame resistant/retardant clothing.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Remove all sources of ignition.

- Environmental precautions:

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth), then place in a chemical waste container Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceus earth, vermiculite) and place in container for disposal according to local / national regulations.

- Methods for cleaning up:  Sweep up and shovel into suitable containers for disposal. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly. After cleaning, flush away traces with water. Retain washings as contaminated waste.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do not breathe vapor or mist. Keep away from heat, sparks, flame and other sources of ignition (i.e., pilot lights, electric motors and static electricity). Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: stainless steel. Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Technical protection measures: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. Avoid exposure to vapor. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location reuse. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product.

Hand protection: Neoprene gloves. PVC disposable gloves.

Skin protection: Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Long sleeved clothing. Impervious clothing. Boots.

Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety goggles.

Respiratory protection: Breathing apparatus with filter. Respirator with filter for organic vapor.

General Hygiene Considerations: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Take off all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product.

Environmental Exposure Controls: Prevent product from entering drains. Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability

: Stable under normal conditions. MAY FORM EXPLOSIVE PEROXIDES. Polymerization can occur.

Possibility of hazardous reactions

: None under normal processing.

Conditions to avoid

: Heat, flames and sparks.

Incompatible materials

: Incompatible with strong acids and bases. Incompatible with oxidizing agents. Reacts violently with strong oxidizing agents.

Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating and toxic gases and vapors.

Disposal considerations

Disposal Considerations: Should not be released into the environment. Can be incinerated, when in compliance with local regulations.DDispose of contents/containers in accordance with local regulations

Waste from residues/unused products: Where possible recycling is preferred to disposal or incineration. Should not be released into the environment Can be incinerated, when in compliance with local regulations.

Contaminated packaging: Empty remaining contents. Drain container thoroughly. Empty containers should be taken to an approved waste handling site for recycling or disposal.
