Endpoint:
oxidising gases
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid
Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid
Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Description of key information

The test item has no oxidising properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

Oxidising gases

The test item is a solid at ambient conditions. This hazard class is only applicable for gases. Thus, the substance was not considered for classification as oxidising gas.

Oxidising liquid

The test item is a solid at ambient conditions. This hazard class is only applicable for liquids. Thus, the substance was not considered for classification as oxidising liquid.

Oxidising solid

In accordance with column 2 Annex VII section 7.13 Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), the test on oxidising properties was waived as the chemical structure of the test item does not contain any functional groups quoted in 'Manual of Tests and Criteria' (seventh revised edition, appendix 6, chapter 6) which may indicate oxidizing properties. The test item was thus considered not oxidising. No experimental determination was carried out.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008

In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.4, Section 2.13 and Section 2.14 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the twelfth time in Regulation (EU) No 2019/521 and UN GHS Rev 7 (2017) the substance has not to be classified as oxidising gas, oxidising liquid or oxidising solid in class 5 Division 5.1.
