Key result
Relative self-ignition temperature:
> 400 °C

There was a temperature difference of 10°C to 20°C between the test item kept in the cube and the space surrounding the cube, during Initial rise of 10°C/min in the auto-ignition apparatus up to 200°C. After equilibration at 200°C for 20minutes the temperature of the test item in cube and surrounding the cube was 200°C.

During incremental rise of 0.5°C/min, the test item started emanating high intense smoke at 225°C and continued up to 235°C. The test item became charred and turned to blackish in color at 235°C-300°C. The test item maintained the black color up to 400°C. The temperature was recorded for every 10minutes.
