Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
study cannot be used for classification
Conclusions:
Cyclohexylamine Benzoate Powder was found to be a ‘Group A – Flammable’ material. That is, it is capable of producing an explosive atmosphere when dispersed in the form of a dust cloud. Given that this material is an organic powder, this result was to be expected, as the majority of organic materials will be combustible when dispersed as a fine powder in air. The results of this test are highly dependent on the composition and physical nature of the sample tested, with particle size, moisture content and particle shape all having marked influence on the results obtained.

Reflecting the above test result, the technical data for Cyclohexylamine Benzoate recommends that during application, all vessels and plant, together with all application equipment, should be earthed and all possible ignition sources removed.
