Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The density of 3-(isodecyloxy)propylammonium acetate was determined to be 0.9105 g/mL at 20ºC with 0.0659% of RSD.
Executive summary:

The density of 3-(isodecyloxy)propylammonium acetate was determined as per the

OECD 109, guideline for testing of chemicals, “Density of Liquids and Solids”,

United States Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Prevention, Pesticides and

Toxic Substances (TS-7101), Product properties test guidelines, OPPTS 830.7300,

“Density/Relative Density/Bulk Density”, EPA 712-C-02-035 June 2002 and

Handbook Volume F, CIPAC MT 3.2 Pyknometer method, “Specific Gravity, Density

and Weight per millilitre”.

The empty pyknometer and pyknometer with water were weighed and the weights

were recorded to find out the water equivalent factor or the capacity of the

pyknometer. The empty pyknometer, pyknometer with test item were weighed and

weights were recorded. The density of test item was calculated from the capacity of

the pyknometer. The test was performed at 20ºC under thermostatic conditions and

the obtained density values are found to be 0.9101 g/mL and

0.9109 g/mL for replicates R1 and R2 respectively. The mean density was found to be

0.9105 g/mL with 0.0659% of RSD.
