Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the patient to fresh air immediately. Give rest. If
breathing is difficult, consult a physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate immediately with copious amounts of water. Consult
a physician if irritation persists.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with water and soap. Take off contaminated
clothing.
Consult a physician if redness or irritation of the skin
occurs.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give the patient plenty of water to drink. Do not induce
vomiting.
Consult a physician if large amounts have been ingested.
Never administer water to an unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxyde, powder and alcohol resistant foam.
Product arising from burning: Based on the structural data, incineration in a therefor
equipped installation will result in the formation of mainly
water, nitrogen- and carbon oxydes.
An uncontrolled fire however, will give rise to an acrid
black smoke, which should not be inhaled.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Fire-fighting personnel should wear self contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: According to standard procedures : embark, clean and
possibly empty water systems. Bring the material to a safe
place.
All open flames, sparks and other sources of ignition should
be removed immediately.
Handling and storage
Handling: Contact with the material should be avoided. Use, if
possible, in closed systems. Apply room and local
ventilation. Standard personal protection : working clothes,
neoprene gloves and safety goggles against splashing.
Storage: Store the product in the original, well closed packaging.
Keep away from all sources of ignition.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The product, as placed on the market, is packed in steel
drums.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Contact with water will release ethylamylketon. This is a
volatile and flammable substance.
The liberated amount of ethylamylketon per time unit is
insufficient to classify the product.
Chemical reaction with water: Will react and liberate ethylamylketon.
Dust explosion: Not applicable.
