Additional information

The target substance substance N,N-Dihydroxyethyl-p-toluidine (CAS 3077-12-1) is well soluble in water (19.8 g/L, 20 °C, pH 6.91) and is characterized by low vapour pressure (0.000447 Pa at 25 °C, MPBWIN v1.43). Its potential for adsorption to particulate matter in sediment and soils is expected to be low based on its low log Kow (log Kow = 2.0 at 35 °C and neutral pH, OECD 117, HPLC method). Furthermore, the substance is not readily biodegradable. Thus, the main compartment for environmental distribution is expected to be water with moderate potential for adsorption to suspended organic matter particles in soil and sediment.
