Results and discussion
Water solubility
- Key result
- Water solubility:
- > 22 - 160 mg/L
- Conc. based on:
- test mat.
- Remarks on result:
- other: Results not applicable to template. Water solubility values of 22 and 160 mg/L at low and high test loadings were given.
- Details on results:
- Results of the test and show water solubility values of approximately 22 and 160 mg/L at the low and high test loadings respectively. The increase in solubility with loading, and the apparent increase in solubility with time at the higher test loading, indicated that minor impurities are likely to have contributed significantly to these values. Based on structure, the solubility of the test item itself was anticipated to be much lower.
Any other information on results incl. tables
Computer modelling ((WSKOWWIN, Version 1.42, U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency) indicated a water solubility of much less than 1 mg/L for the substance.
The solubility value of 22 mg/L should be considered to be a maximum value.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The substance's water solubility was studied in accordance with EU Method A.6 and OECD Guideline 105 via a GLP-certified laboratory. Using total carbon capture, the water solubility of the substance was determined to be < 22 mg/L. The increase in solubility with loading, and the apparent increase in solubility with time at the higher test loading, indicated that minor impurities are likely to have contributed significantly to the values obtained. Computer modelling indicated a water solubility of much less than 1 mg/L for the substance.
