Preliminary test

A preliminary test was performed in the heating range from 25°C to 400°C with a heating rate of 20K/min. The first endothermic heat effect, the melting, was observed at 123.3°C.

Main test (two main test runs)

In order to determine the melting more precisely, further DSC-runs were recorded between 90°C and 170°C with a heating rate of 5 K/min. In the first main test run, the melting of T002251 was determined at 123.6°C. The melting of the test item during the second main test run was determined to be 123.5°C. During these runs, the samples lost 3% and 1.4% of their mass, respectively. After measurement both samples were melted and brownish black in color.

Conclusions:
The mean melting point of T002251 was determined to be 123.4°C +/-0.2°C under the conditions of the test.
