Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid having a melting point <= 160°C
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
read-across: supporting information
Reference
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2016
Reliability:

Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
90 °C
Remarks on result:
other: atm. press.: not specified
Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the melting point of the test substance was determined to be 90°C (capillary method).
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the melting point point of the test substance according to EU Method A.1. Under the study conditions, the melting point of the substance was determined to be 90°C (Dobbelstein, 2016).

Executive summary:

As per the column 2 in Annex VII of REACH regulation, the study does not need to be conducted for solids if the substance has a melting point ≤160°C. Melting point of test substance is only 90°C, hence no need for self-ignition study.
