- Executive summary:
A study was conducted according to OECD TG 133 in order to determine the thermal stability of the test item using DSC measurement. The test item was filled into a closed glass crucible and heated up to a temperature of 500 °C. Three tests were performed in parallel. In the temperature range of 200 – 240 °C a small exothermic effect was observed in all tests, with an averaged decomposition energy of approximately -30 J/g. As the decomposition energy was below the threshold of -500 J/g, further tests on explosive properties were not required. The test item was determined to be thermally stable at ambient conditions. It has not to be classified as explosive substance in class 1 according to UN Transport Regulation and it has not to be classified as explosive substance according to GHS/CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
Reference
In the temperature range of 200 – 240 °C a small exothermic effect can be observed, with an averaged decomposition energy of approximately -30 J/g.

1) Energies of exothermic effects are presented as negative values and energies of endothermic effects as positive values
The DSC-measurements in the closed crucibles showed a decomposition of the test item with a decomposition energy of approx. -30 J/g, meaning the decomposition energy is below the threshold of -500 J/g to exclude explosive properties. Due to this, further tests on explosive properties were not necessary. The test item has no explosive properties.
Description of key information
The substance is thermal stable at ambient conditions.
