At –23 °C (1st test) and –25 °C (2nd test), respectively, the test item became turbid and started freezing by visual judgement. In conclusion, the freezing point was determined to be -24 °C ± 1.0 deg C which is equal to 249.2 K ± 1.0 K.

Conclusions:
The freezing point of the test substance was found to be -24 ± 1°C, or 249.2 ± 1 K.

Description of key information

A K1 GLP study was performed according to the OECD guideline 102 and EU Method A.1. The freezing point of the test substance was found to be -24 ± 1 ° C, or 249.2 ± 1 K (Weissenfeld, 2007).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-24 °C

Additional information

The freezing point of the test substance was determined by thermal analysis to be -24 ± 1 ° C, or 249.2 ± 1 K.
