First-aid measures

Eye Contact: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical

advice.

Skin Contact: IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with

water/shower. Contaminated clothing cannot be washed clean and should not be reused for any purpose.

Seek medical advice.

Inhalation: IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.

Ingestion: Give plenty of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention/advice.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Most Important Symptoms and Effects, Both Acute and Delayed:

Symptoms: Toxic if swallowed. Causes severe burns.

Indication of any Immediate Medical Attention and Special Treatment Needed:

Notes to Physician: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemicals, foam, water spray (mist).

Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: None.

Combustion/Explosion Hazards: In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.

Hazardous Combustion Products: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen.

Explosion Data:

Sensitivity to Mechanical Impact: None.

Sensitivity to Static Discharge: None

Protective Equipment and precautions for Firefighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and

protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions: Do not breathe fumes/vapors. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Environmental Precautions: Contain any spill with dikes or absorbents to prevent migration and entry into

sewers or streams.

Methods for Containment: Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.

Methods for Clean-up: Contain any spills with dikes or absorbents to prevent migration and entry into

sewers or streams. Take up small spills with dry chemical absorbent. Large spills may be taken up with pump

or vacuum and finished off with dry chemical absorbent. May require excavation of contaminated soil.

Handling and storage

Precautions for Safe Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Precautions for Storage: Mechanical ventilation is recommended. Local exhaust is needed at source of

vapors. Store in original container or in stainless steel or glass-lined storage vessels.

Incompatible Materials: Copper. Copper alloys.
