Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
disregarded due to major methodological deficiencies
Study period:
06 June 2017 to 25 August 2017
Reliability:
3 (not reliable)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
unsuitable test system
Remarks:
The test method is suitable for substance with a vapour pressure between 10E02 Pa to 10E05 Pa. Based on information on structural analogues and the available QSARs this method is not the correct method to be followed and is expected to provide non-reliable results

Vapour pressure:
143 Pa
Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of the substance based on 3 measurements is 143 Pa, when using the isoteniscope method
Executive summary:

In a study using the isoteniscope method, the vapour pressure of the substance at 20 °C was assessed in 3 independent experiments to be 143 Pa. The test method used is suitable for substances with a vapour pressure between 1E02  Pa to 1E05 Pa. Based on information on structural analogues and the available QSARs this method is not the correct method to be followed and is expected to provide non-reliable results

Description of key information

In a study using the isoteniscope method, the vapour pressure of the substance at 20 °C was assessed in 3 independent experiments to be 143 Pa. The test method used is suitable for substances with a vapour pressure between 1E02  Pa to 1E05 Pa. Based on information on structural analogues and the available QSARs this method is not the correct method to be followed and the results are therefore considered not reliable.

QSAR models on two representative structures (based on the measured boiling point) gave a vapour pressure between 0.73 and 0.79 Pa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.76 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

Based on this information the vapour pressure of the substance is set at the mean of the 2 QSAR values.
