Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice : Treat symptomatically. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
If inhaled : If inhaled, remove to fresh air. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
In case of skin contact : Wash with water and soap as a precaution.
In case of eye contact : Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
If swallowed : Keep respiratory tract clear. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.
Specific extinguishing methods: Standard procedure for chemical fires
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Personal precautions : Avoid dust formation. Refer to protective measures listed in sections 7 and 8 of the SDS.
Environmental precautions :
No special environmental precautions required.
Methods for cleaning up:
Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust. Sweep up and shovel. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Advice on safe handling : For personal protection see section 8 of the SDS.
Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed.
Hygiene measures : General industrial hygiene practice.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Requirements for storage areas and containers: No special storage conditions required. Keep in properly labelled containers.
Advice on common storage : For incompatible materials please refer to Section 10 of this
SDS.
Recommended storage temperature: 2 - 40 °C
Further information on storage stability: Keep in a dry place. Stable under normal conditions.
