Additional information

Hydroxylammonium chloride is the hydrochloric acid salt of hydroxylamine. Hydroxylamine dissolves readily in water and undergoes salt dissociation in acidic and neutral solutions forming hydroxylamine hydrate, which is a weak base and gives the univalent cation H3NOH+ on acid hydrolysis. Hydroxylamine is not considered stable under environmental conditions and will be rapidly transform through biotic and abiotic processes to other nitrogen forms.
