Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The adsorption coefficient of the test item is determined with the HPLC method : Koc = 21.9 and log Koc 1.34

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
21.9

Additional information

The adsorption coefficient (log Koc) was determined according to the EU test method C.19 and GLP. HPLC method (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) was used for the estimation the adsorption coefficient of the test item in soil and sewage.

While passing through the column along with the mobile phase,  the test item interacts with the stationary phase and is retarded. The retention time of the test item is evaluated by setting up a calibration plot for references substances of known log Koc. By applying the regression equation of the calibration plot, the adsorption coefficient of the test item can be calculated. Six references substances with known Koc were used and the adsorption coefficient of the test item obtained from the equation is : Koc = 21.9 and log Koc = 1.34.
