Workers - Hazard for the eyes

Local effects

Hazard assessment conclusion:
medium hazard (no threshold derived)

Additional information - workers

The substance is not acutely toxic via the oral route (LD50 > 2000 mg/kg) and oral administration of test item to rats by gavage, at dose levels of 350, 700 and 1000 mg/kg bw/day, was well tolerated in 28-day repeated dose oral toxicity (OECD 407) and reproductive/developmental toxicity screening (OECD 421) studies (NOAEL 1000 mg/kg bw/day). Moreover, no evidence of skin corrosion/irritation or skin sensitisation was found during performance of relevant investigations. In the absence of systemic or local effects by the oral or dermal route it is not possible or appropriate to derive DNEL values.
