Adsorption/desorption:

The partition coefficient of test substance 4-chlororesorcinol (CAS No.95-88-5) was determined as per the HPLC method (OECD Guideline-121). The Log Koc value was found to be 1.567± 0.002 at 25°C. This indicates that 4-chlororesorcinol will show low sorption to soil alongwith migration potential to groundwater.
