Description of key information

The substance does not evaporate from the water phase in the atmosphere.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The Henry's Law constant was calculated based on vapour pressure, molecular weight and water solubility.

The vapour pressure of 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Ethyl Sulfate (CAS 342573-75-5), a chemical comparable to 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Dicyanamide, was determined to be < 1E-6 hPa at 20 °C. Therefore, a similar vapour pressure is assumed in this calculation for 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Dicyanamide, as the sole difference between these substance is the composition of the inorganic moiety. The water solubility of the substance itself was determined to be miscible with water in any ratio at 20 °C; for the calculation a water solubility of 10 g/L was used. Based on these parameters, the Henry's Law constant was calculated to be ca. 4.87E-3 Pa·m3/mol.
