Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The EC50 (24 hours) was calculated to be 827 mg/L indicating that the test substance poses no significant hazard to Daphnia magna.
Executive summary:

The acute toxictiy of isophorone nitrile on Daphnia magna was investigated over a period of 24 hours by TNO (1991) according to OECD 202. Five concentrations ranging from 100 to 1000 mg/L plus controls were tested. The following enpoints were derived:

EC50 (24 hours): 827 mg/L (CL: 714 -956 mg/L)

NOEC (24 hours): 320 mg/L

The study was assessed as "reliable with restrictions".
