Additional information

The long-term aquatic toxicity of Boron in fish was evaluated in a earl-life stage toxicity test performed according to ASTM E 241-05 and equivalent to EPA OPPTS 850.1400 (Fish Early-life Stage Toxicity Test), where Pimephales promelas were exposed to nominal Boron concentrations of 0, 2.75, 5.5, 11, 22, 44 mg/L for 32 days under semi-static conditions. Based on survival rate and the dry weight/10 fish at the end of the treatment period, a NOEC of 11.2 mg measured Boron/L and a LOEC of measured 32 mg Boron/L was found, which corresponds to a NOEC of 219.6 mg/L and a LOEC of 627.3 mg/L for Sodium triacetoxyborohydride, respectively.
