Any other information on results incl. tables
The determination of the Boiling Point was performed by visual judgement using the capillary method.
At about 315 °C in the preliminary test, the number of air bubbles increases and a stream of air bubbles were visible. The colour changed from white to light yellow to light brown using a heating rate of 10 °C/min.
To confirm the result obtained in the preliminary test, the determination of the boiling point was performed in triplicate, heating quickly up to 290 °C and afterwards slowly using a heating rate of 1 °C/min.
A clear boiling point, as defined in the guideline with a current stream of bubbles evolving from the capillary, was observed at a heating temperature of 301 °C (575 K). The results were evaluated because they fulfill the criteria of repeatability.
