First-aid measures
General information:
Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately
Adhere to personal protective measures when giving first aid
Sek medical advice immediately
After inhalation:
Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm
No direct breathing aid should be given by the first medical helper
Call in a physician immediately and show him the Safety Data Sheet
After contact with skin:
In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water
Cosult a doctor if skin irritation persists
After contact with eyes:
Rinse immediately with gently running water for 15 minutes, maintaining eyelids open. Consult at once an ophthalmologist or a physician
Summon a doctor immediately
After ingestion:
Call in a physician immediately and show him the Safety Data Sheet
Induce vomiting in case madical help is not readily available and when the patienr is concious (Vomit should not go into the respiratory air tract)
Advice to doctor:
Treatment:
By irritation of the lungs: First treatment with Corticord-Spray, e.g. Auxilon, Pulmicort (Auxilon and Pulmicort are registered Trade Marks)
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
carbon dioxide
water jet spray
Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons:
foam
powder
Special protective equipment for fire fighting:
Impermeable protective clothing (jacket and trousers) with helmet
Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Further information:
Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be diposed of in accordance with the local regulations
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
General protective measures:
On no account inhale vapours
Avoid contact with eyes and skin
Hygiene measures:
Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages
Wash hands before breaks and after work
Repiratory protection: Protective mask, Multi purpose filter ABEK
Hand protection: Butyl rubber gloves, Minimum breakthrough Time/gloves: 480 min, Minimum thickness/gloves: 0.6 mm
These types of protective gloves are offered by various manufacturers. Pleas note the manufacturers detalied statments, especially about the minimum thickness and the minimum breakthough time. Consider also the particular work conditions under which the gloves are beiung used.
Eye protection: tightly fitting sfety glasses
Body protection: protective clothing
Environmental precautions:
Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil
Methods for cleaning up/taking up:
Taking into account the environmental regulations, clean contaminated equipment and floors thoroughly using water, acetone or dilute ammonia solution (< 10 %)
When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading "Disposal"
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling:
Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary)
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Take precautions against accumulation of electrostatic charge. The product is combutible
Requiremenst for storage rooms and vessels:
Use stainless steel containers
Use aluminium containers
Use glass containers
Advice on storage compatibility:
Do not store or transport together with food stuffs
Further information on storage conditions:
Keep only in the origonal container at temperature not exceeding 25 °C
Container should not be closed air-tight

Exposure controls / personal protection
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
