Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

No endothermic or exothermic effect of the test substance was observed between 21°C and 400°C. It demonstrated that the test substance is not self-ignitable. The test substance was collected in a container that was placed below the cube indicating that the test substance melted during the experiment. After the experiment, the test substance had turned into a black residue indicating that the test substance decomposed and/or reacted during the experiment.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The self-ignition temperature of CH03938 was determined using a temperature programmed laboratory oven, a stainless steel wire mesh cube, NiCr/NiAl thermocouples and a temperature recording device.
Based on the results obtained the test substance is considered ‘not self-ignitable’.
