N2O is not an irritant gas.

 

Whilst both skin and eye irritation data for N2O are lacking, no significant signs of either eye or skin irritation have been reported in the animal experiments. The wealth of human data in the public domain (EIGA 2008, EHC 1997, HSDB 2011, IPCS 1992) have reported no significant signs of irritation to the skin or eye.
