nitrogen oxides together with some metal oxides and soot.
Suitable extinguishing agents are water mist, foam, powder
and carbon dioxide.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Powder: Collect spilt material, avoid dust formation.
Dispose of waste material by incineration or at a landfill
site. Solution: Absorbing suitable material. Dispose of

Danger other than fire: Cases of respiratory sensitisation have been observed for
some reactive dyes. If evidence of sensitisation is
observed, remove person from contact with the substance and
seek medical attention.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at an authorised landfill site is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal by incineration at a facility equipped with waste
gas treatment to remove sulphur and nitrogen oxides is
possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not readily biodegradable. Waste water may
contain up to 15% of hydrolysis product. It will be
eliminated from systems by absorption on sludge.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from dyed material is not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Textiles dyed with the substance may be disposed of as
household waste.
