Description of key information

An acute toxicity of CA4920 to the earthworm was conducted as limit test with a concentration of 1000 mg/kg dry soild weight. The test duration was 14 days. After 7 days and 14 days, toxic symptoms were recorded and the mortality was assessed. The 14 -day LC50 was found to be greater than 1000 mg/kg dry soil weight.

The effect of the test material on seed germination and root elongation of Lolium perenne (Ryegrass), Triticum Aestivum (Common wheat), Medicago sativa (Alfalfa), Vignaradiate (Mung bean), Oryza sativa L. (rice), Cucumis sativus (cucumber), Zea mays (corn), Lycopersicon escule ntum (tomato), Glycine max (soybean) and brassica rapa (Canola) was determined. Seedlings were exposed to initial measured concentrations of 1.399 mg/L, alongside a blank control. Each replicate contained 10 seeds and 3 replicate was tested for each treatment. The EC50 for seed germination and root elongation of the test material was greater than 1.399 mg/L for all plant species tested.
