All available experimental data shows absence of systemic effets after oral or dermal exposure. The basic copperphthalocyanine (CAS 147 -14 -8) is not taken up after ingestion as determined by measuring copper concentrations.

The pigment has the properties of an inert dust. It is insoluble and not suceptible to hydrolysis. Therefore, the general exposure limit for inhalable dust is applied.
