Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Additional information
BIODEGRADATION SCREENING TEST
The registration substance is readily biodegradable in an OECD 301B CO2 Evolution test (see IUCLID Chapter 5.2.1).
BIODEGRADATION IN SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS
can be estimated with the Simpletreat STP model built in the EUSES Environmental exposure and risk model. Based on 'ready biodegradability' and inherent substance data like log Kow and Henry's Law constant the model calculates a 86% elimination by biodegradation in the Sewage treatment plant.
BIODEGRADATION IN FRESHWATER AND MARINE WATER
Based on 'ready biodegradability' the REACH Guidance R16.5.4 proposes a Half-life in Freshwater of 15d (12 deg C) and for Marine water of 50d (12 deg C).
BIODEGRADATION IN FRESHWATER SEDIMENT
Based on 'ready biodegradability and a Kd sediment of < 100 L/kg (see IUCLID Chaapter 5.4.1) the REACH Guidance R16.5.4 proposes Half-lives in Freshwater of 30d (aerobic freshwater sediment) and 300d (anaerobic freshwater sediment).
BIODEGRADATION IN SOIL
Based on 'ready biodegradability and a Kd soil of < 100 L/kg (see IUCLID Chapter 5.4.1) the REACH Guidance R16.5.4 proposes a Half-life in Soil of 30d (12 deg C).
