Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Additional information
The test substance > 99% pure, is a clear colourless liquid. The melting point, -15.2°C, was determined using differential scanning calorimetry according to EU Method A.1. Boiling point, 143 ± 0.5°C, was determined using the ebulliometer method according to EU Method A.2. Density, 1.40 at 20 ± 0.5°C, was measured using a dilatometric procedure (pycnometer) according to EU Method A.3. The vapour pressure, 560±80 Pa at 25°C, was determined with the ebulliometer method according to EU Method A.4. The partition coefficient, Log Kow, 1.83 at 25 ±1°C, was determined using the shake flask method according to EU Method A.8. Water solubility, 1900 mg/L at 25 ±1°C, was determined with the shake flask method according to EU Method A.6. Solubility is not pH dependent at pH 5, 7 and 9. The substance is stable in water at 54 ± 2°C for 14 days. Surface tension, 66.3Nm/ at 25±1°C, was determined using a Plate densitometer method according to EU Method A.5. Based on flash point, the substance is flammable. The flash point 50 ±2°C was determined using the closed cup method according to EU Method A.9. The auto-ignition temperature determined using EU Method A.15 is > 650°C. According to EU Method A.13, the substance is not pyrophoric; the substance does not ignite on contact with air. According to EU Method A.12, the substance does not ignite in contact with water. The substance has no groups associated with explosive properties. The substance is not oxidizing. Structural analysis indicates there are no oxidizing groups. Granulometry data is waived since the test substance is a liquid. Stability in organic solvents is waived since this is not considered critical. This would be assessed in individual studies where organic solvents are used. The dissociation constant is waived based on exposure considerations. Justification and documentation are found in Chapter 9 of the Chemical Safety Report. Viscosity is waived based on exposure considerations. Justification and documentation are found in Chapter 9 of the Chemical Safety Report.
