Description of key information
A range of adsorption coefficients were estimated based on measured logKows and scientifically reliable calculation approaches. Calculated Kocs for SAS constituents range from 1.24-20,100. Calculated adsorption coefficients for suspended matter ranged from 0.124-2010 L/Kg. Calculated adsorption coefficients for soil ranged from 0.0248-402 L/Kg. Based on these estimates, SAS is not likely to have great sorption potential to solids in soil and sediment compartments.
