On the basis of read across, hexacos-1-ene is not expected to be inhibitory to microorganisms.

Experimental data are not available for hexacos-1-ene. In the absence of data for hexacos-1-ene, data have been read across from category members with a lower carbon number.
Data are available on the toxicity of alpha olefins with a carbon range of C6 - C18 to microorganisms. Data are available from ready biodegradation screening studies and non-standard tests. None of the studies have demonstrated any toxicity to microorganisms.
These results indicate that, on the basis of read across, we would not expect hexacos-1-ene to be inhibitory to microorganisms.
