Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Exposure by Inhalation: Remove subject to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek immediate medical attention.
Exposure by skin contact: Wash surface areas with soap and water. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Consult a physician if irritation continues.
Exposure by eye contact: Immediately flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if eye irritation continues.
Exposure by ingestion: Rinse mouth and drink plenty of water. If stomach upset continues seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide gas.
Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in a fire.
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn.
Fight the fire from a safe distance or protected location.
Accidental release measures
If small spill occurs, absorb spill with sand or other inert absorbent or spunges. Wipe up remainder in waste cloth.
If large spill occurs dike and dispose of the spills in safe area. Place wastes in closed container for disposal. Do not dispose of waste to the sewer. Wash hands with soap and water.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local regulations in order to minimise exposure.
Engineering controls (mechanical ventilation) are necessary to minimise exposure to the substance.
When handling the substance appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn. Gloves, mask and goggles are recommended and should be regarded as the minimum.
Educational training should be periodically provided for site workers.
Storage:
The substance should be stored in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from flames and sources of ignition. Do not store in high or freezing temperatures. Keep container closed when not in use. Do not store with oxidizing agents or explosives.
Packaging:
200L volume polyethylene container.

Exposure controls / personal protection
The substance should be stored, transported, handled and used under conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local regulations in order to minimise exposure.
When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None known.
Chemical reaction with water: None which is hazardous.
Dust explosion: Under normal conditions of use this material does not present a significant explosion hazard. However, like most organic compounds it is combustible and may form a dust explosion if widely dispersed in air. However, dust explosion is not a hazard as the
substance is imported into the EU as a component of a liquid preparation.
Disposal considerations
Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not economically or technically feasible, and as such, waste material should be disposed of by appropriate methods and according to local regulations.
Methods for neutralsing hazardous effects: It is recommended to highly condense the substance and incinerate.
Waste disposal from use (industry and consumer): Follow local and national regulations for disposal by incineration or landfill.
Contaminated items containing the substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning under controlled conditions at a lincenced waste treatment processor in accordance with any local regulations.
Disoposal of the empty ink cartridges by the public will be made together with other household waste and therefore sent to landfill.
