- Conclusions:
- Solubility in water (OECD 105, flask method): 12 mg/L at 20°C
- Executive summary:
The water solubility of the test item was determined compliant with GLP according to OECD guideline no. 105 and EU test method A.6 with the flask method. Incubation was performed over 24 h, 48 h and 72 h at 30 °C (n= 2 for each time period) followed by equilibration at 20 °C for 24 hours. Even after centrifugation samples were slightly turbid. Therefore, filtration over nylon (0.20 µm) filter was performed before determination of concentration by carbon analysis (TOC). The relative standard deviation (repeatability) of the concentrations over all six samples was smaller than 15 % and the three duplicate sets of samples (incubation time at 30 °C: 24 h; 48 h; and 72 h) showed no tendency of increasing concentration values over time. Thus the test was satisfactory.
Result:
Solubility in water (OECD 105, flask method): 12 mg/L at 20°C (pH 6.61 to 6.79)

Preliminary test
The test item was dissolved in the pre-sample with a concentration of approx. 10E-02 g/l (see table below). Thus the flask method was performed.

1) calculated from the carbon concentration of the sample solutions and the carbon content of the pure test item (77.1 %)
2) The purified water used for the tests had a pH value of 7.60.
Descriptive statistics for samples one to 6:
- arithmetic mean value: 12 mg/L
- standard deviation (SD): 1 mg/L
- relative SD: 10.6%
Water solubility as a function of time:
- n=2 after 24 h at 30 °C: 11 mg/L;
- n=2 after 48 h at 30 °C: 12 mg/L
- n=2 after 72 h at 30 °C: 12 mg/L
The relative standard deviation (repeatability) of the concentrations in all six samples was smaller than 15 % and the three duplicate sets of samples showed no tendency of increasing concentration
values. Thus the test was satisfactory.
