EC number: 270-724-1 | CAS number: 68477-33-8 A complex combination of hydrocarbons from the distillation of saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons usually ranging in carbon numbers from C3 through C6, predominantly butane and isobutane. It consists of saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons having carbon numbers in the range of C3 through C4, predominantly isobutane.

Description of key information
Data on the physical and chemical properties of members of this category were obtained from peer reviewed handbooks which are deemed reliable for use, from company data and from QSAR calculations. These sources were considered appropriate and suitable for use for assessment of the members of the category, which are all gases.
Review of the collated information indicates that as gases Category members will partition primarily to air. They have moderate solubility in water and being gasestheirvapour pressure will be above the limit of measurement (i.e. 105Pa) but indicates that the substances will have a high volatility.
Based on the explosion limits for the category members (1.6 to 12 %), all category members are classified as Flam. gas 1.
