Preliminary test: The estimated auto-ignition temperature was 310 ºC.

Main study: ignition of the test substance within 5 minutes after introduction was observed with each sample volume and with each test a minimum auto-ignition temperature was obtained. The maximum deviation between the three values was < 10 ºC. According to guidelines, no further testing was required.

The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test substance occurred was 289 ºC. This temperature was rounded off to the nearest multiple of 5 ºC giving an auto-ignition temperature of the test substance of 285 ºC.

Conclusions:
Test substance is auto-ignitable with an auto-ignition temperature at 1008.0-1015.2 hPa of 285 ºC
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance was determined using commercially available auto-ignition tempature apparatus and in accordance with EU Method A.15. The method is applicable to test substances with an auto-ignition temperature in th range of 75 ºC-650 ºC. After a preliminar test, the test substance was determined to be auto-ignitabe with an auto-ignition temperature at 1008.0-1015.2 hPa of 285 ºC.

Description of key information

Test substance is auto-ignitable with a auto-ignition temperature at 1008.0-1015.2 hPa of 285ºC. MPKO, the hydrolysis product of OS1600, is auto-ignitable with an auto-ignition temperature at 1003.0 - 1012.5 hPa of 325°C.
