Description of key information

Three aquatic toxicity studies in fish, invertebrate and Lemna gibba were performed according to ODCE TG 203, 202 and 221 respectively, following GLP to evaluate the toxicity potential of the test substance the test substance. 96 h LC50 to fish was 48 h EC50 to Daphnia was found to be >100mg/L. Significant inhibitory effects were determined for yield and growth rate of frond numbers at 9.77, 31.3 and 100 mg/L loading rate and 0.0977, 0.313 and 2.00 mg/L (actual), for yield of dry weight at 31.3 and 100 mg/L loading rate and 0.313 and 2.00 mg/L (actual) and for growth rate of dry weight at 100 mg/L loading rate and 2.00 mg/L (actual). Based on the data for the most sensitive species Lemna gibba FAT 36014 can be classified as toxic to aquatic organisms.
