Description of key information
According to column 2 of REACH Annex IX performing of an experimental study can be waived if the equilibrium partition method is applicable to assess the hazard to soil organisms. Furhtermore no long-term test are required if
a) the adsorption to soil is low or
b) the substance is not very persistent
A PNEC soil could be calculated using EPM. Long-term test are not required a the conditions a and b are fulfilled. Thus performance of an terrestrial ecotox studies are not justified.
