Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. If signs/Symptoms develop, get
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: The eyes have directly to be washed with plenty of water (at
least 15 minutes). A doctor has to be called.
Emergency measure - Skin: The skin has directly to be washed with plenty of water (at
least 15 minutes). Contaminated shoes and clothing have to
be removed and washed before next use.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Apply 2 glasses of water.
If signs/Symptoms develop, get medical attention
Never instil something to an unconsciuos person.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Not flammable, use extinguishing agents according to the
surrounding fire.
Product arising from burning: Sulfur oxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen
fluoride.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear inherent protection suit including helm, breathing
protection (overpressure), closed jacket and trousers, arm,
waist and leg protection, face mask.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ventilate the area with fresh air. Contain spill. For larger
spills, cover drains and build dikes to prevent entry into
sewer systems or bodies of water. Working from around the
edges of the spill inward, cover with sodium carbonate
solution. Collect as much of the spilled material as
possible.
Place in a polyethylene coated metal container approved for
transportation by appropriate authorities.
Lock the affected area for unprotected personnel.
Collect the resulting residue containing solution.
Product waste has to be carefully transferred into a
solution of sodium carbonate and calcium hydroxide. The
solution has to be neutral.
Dispose of collected material as soon as possible.
The precautionary measures recommended under 2.3.10 must be
taken.
Handling and storage
Handling: The product is only intended for industrial / professional
use.
All working methods must always be designed so that skin and
eye contact as well as exposure by inhalation are excluded.
As far as possible, closed equipment must be used during
filling, transfer and metered feeding as well as during
sampling. In the case of handling in open systems, any
vapours/aerosols that can form should be extracted directly
at the point of origin. In the case of handling in open
systems, any vapours/aerosols that can form should be
extracted directly at the point of origin. Respiratory
protec-tion (e.g. :::) should be worn in case technical
extraction or ventilation measures are not possible or are
insufficient. Even if skin contact is only possible for
short periods, tested protective gloves (e.g. :::) and
suitable protective clothing (e.g. :::) must be worn. Safe
eye protection (e.g. :::) is absolutely essential. 145
Adequate washing facilities should be available in the
immediate vicinity of the work area and eye douches should
be made available and their location indicated
conspicuously. After skin contact, the affected parts of the
skin shoud be cleaned thoroughly using (:::).
Storage: Store away from aluminium and zinc.
Store the product in a cool place, tightly closed and
protected against moisture in the original packing drum.
Ensure good room ventilation, if necessary, local exhaust
ventilation. Only release waste air to the outside air via
suitable separators or scrubbers. Maintain storage areas
according to the principles of good industrial hygiene.
Close all opened packing drums tightly again after use.
Avoid product resi-dues on the packing drums. Store the
substance in such a way that outsiders do not have access to
it. Provide for measures for the retention of product and
exting uishing water. Keep away from food, tobacco, alcohol,
acids and lyes.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Polyethylene canister or polyethylene can, respectively.
